WICHITA, Kan. — Ty Langenberg delivered the longest outing by a Wichita Wind Surge pitcher this season, helping Wichita defeat the Frisco RoughRiders 3-1 Thursday night at Equity Bank Park.

Langenberg allowed one run on six hits over six innings as the Wind Surge improved to 29-37 and took a 2-1 lead in the six-game series.

Wichita scored first in the bottom of the opening inning. A leadoff walk and stolen base put a runner in scoring position before a pair of fly balls brought home the game's first run.

Quinn McDaniel doubled the advantage in the third, hitting his first Double-A home run with a solo shot into the bullpen for a 2-0 lead.

Frisco cut the deficit to 2-1 with an RBI double in the sixth, but Wichita answered in the bottom half. Khadim Diaw led off with a double and scored on a Brandon Winokur single.

Spencer Bengard worked two scoreless innings of relief and struck out three before Kyle Bischoff pitched a scoreless ninth to earn the save.

McDaniel's home run was his first since joining Wichita, while Winokur recorded his ninth multi-RBI performance of the season. Kyle DeBarge extended his on-base streak to seven games, and Graham Brown reached safely for the fifth consecutive game.
