A Galva woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash Saturday evening in rural McPherson County, according to the McPherson County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies and other McPherson County first responders were dispatched at approximately 6:28 p.m. July 4 to the 900 block of 14th Avenue following a report of a two-vehicle collision.
According to a preliminary investigation, a silver sedan traveling south on 14th Avenue slowed and began making a left turn into a private driveway when it was struck by a gray SUV traveling northbound.
Authorities said the driver of the silver sedan was transported to McPherson Hospital for treatment.
The front-seat passenger in the sedan, identified as 43-year-old Julie Goucher of Galva, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, who was the sole occupant of the gray SUV, was also transported to McPherson Hospital. The extent of that person's injuries was not released.
The McPherson County Sheriff's Office said the crash remains under investigation. No additional information has been released.
