John Wayne Bledsoe, 60, of McPherson, passed away at 11:28 pm, Wednesday, April 6th, 2022 at McPherson Health And Rehab.
John was born in Marion, on March 29, 1962, to Patricia Ann (Sieg) Bledsoe and Buel Monroe Bledsoe, Jr.
John attended St. Joseph's Catholic School, Lincoln Grade School, McPherson Junior High and graduated from McPherson High School, McPherson, Kansas in 1981.
He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church McPherson, where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Legion of Mary Auxiliary.
John worked as a maintenance person for the McPherson Junior High and the Daylight Donut Shop as a baker.
John was a former member of the Son's of American Legion Post 24.
John enjoyed his family especially the reunion's, watching Fox News and keeping up on current events, sharing his opinion with his friends; KU Basketball; and watching his San Francisco 49er's and the Kansas City Chief's Football.
He is survived by his mother, Patricia Bledsoe, of McPherson; his sister, Kimberly Bruner, of McPherson; his sister-in-law, Cynthia Bledsoe Demoss and her husband Cary, of Hutchinson; his nieces and nephews, Ricki Snyder (Ron), Casi Scriven (Matthew), Calvin Bruner, Jr. (Noel), Kristen Bruner, Adam Bruner (Kayla), Ashton Bruner, Sierra Bruner, Jordan Bruner, Jillian Bruner, Lily Bledsoe and Michael Bledsoe; his aunt, Sister Rosemary Sieg, of Newton; ten great-nieces and nephews with one on the way!; other relatives and a host of friends.
John was preceded in death by his father, Buel Bledsoe Jr.; a sister, Crystal Bledsoe; a brother, Allen Bledsoe; brother-in-law Calvin Bruner, Sr; his maternal grandparents, Cornelius and Mary Sieg and paternal grandparents, Buel Sr. and Mattie Bledsoe.
Visitation will be held from 5 pm to 6:15 pm on Tuesday, April 12th 2022 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in McPherson. Rosary will follow at 6:30 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Wednesday, April 13th 2022 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in McPherson, with Fr. Ben Shockey officiating.
