
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A Hutchinson man was arrested following a stabbing Monday afternoon. Police say 56-year-old Timothy Peters was arrested on suspicion of aggravated battery and criminal damage to property.
Authorities say Peters went to a residence at 20 E. 15th where he is accused of breaking down a door and confronting Stacia Meier and Demetrius Burgess.
Burgess and Peters got into a fight which spilled out into the front yard. Police report that Peters pulled a knife and stabbed Burgess in the stomach. Burgess was taken to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center for treatment. Peters is being held on a bond of $10,000.
