One of the major reasons why the Hutchinson Community College women's soccer team's offense has come to life in recent games, Blue Dragon sophomore forward Isabell Van Fleet is this week's KJCCC Division I Player of the Week.
Van Fleet, a sophomore from Topeka, is on a three-game goal-scoring streak.
In back-to-back KJCCC shutouts of Dodge City and Garden City last week, Van Fleet had three goals and an assist for a seven-point week, including one game-winning goal. She had a goal and an assist in a 2-0 win over Dodge City and then scored two goals for the third time in her career in a 5-0 Hutchinson win at Garden City on Saturday.
Van Fleet has scored four goals in her last three games dating back to last week with 10 points over that span. For the season, Van Fleet now had four goals and three assists.
This is Van Fleet's first career conference player of the week honor.
