HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson City Manager Enrico Villegas updated Hutch Post on the Atrium demolition process.

"Ultimately it would have been preferred had the property owner taken care of it themselves," Villegas said. "This was the last measure that we wanted to employ, but it is good to see a sense of relief and with the change order that is on the agenda. that will take into account the condition of the parking lot that just with stormwater runoff it could be an issue down the road now that there's no longer a structure there.&nbsp; With heavy construction equipment in and out it has busted up the parking lot even more so it just makes sense to scrape the entire lot and put back grass."

The Hutchinson City Council meets Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall.
