HUTCHINSON, Kan.โ€”The Hutchinson High School boy's and girl's basketball teams both scored big wins on Friday night at the Salthawk Activity Center by sweeping the Great Bend Panthers in both games.

The Hutch girl's used balanced scoring and sprint out steals and baskets by Gracie Keeler to pull away from Great Bend and get a 58-43 victory.  Hutch jumped out to an early 16-8 lead in the first half, but Great Bend fought back to tie it at 18 before the Salthawks responded and pulled away.

In the boy's game, the Salthawks were led by junior post Nick Lange's 18 points and controlled the tempo of the game all night to win 64-37.  The Salthawks were saddled with foul trouble in the first half, but the Hutchinson bench responded well.

Next action for the Hutch High boy's team will be Tuesday afternoon as they travel to Spring Hill, Kansas to match up with Mill Valley at 3pm next Tuesday to participate in the Spring Hill Invitational.

Hutch High girls will host Goddard Eisenhower on Tuesday night at 7:30pm at home at the SAC.

Both games will be broadcast on KWBW Radio as well as streamed on the NFHS Network.
