LAWRENCE, Kan. &ndash;&nbsp;Kansas baseball secured its first series sweep against&nbsp;Oklahoma State since 2009 as the Jayhawks won 11-2 on Sunday afternoon at Hoglund Ballpark. Kansas improved to 23-6 overall and 6-3 in conference play this season. The 6-3 start to Big 12 play is the best in program history. &nbsp; &nbsp; <dfn><a href="https://kuathletics.com/sports/baseball/roster/cooper-moore/16136" rel="smarttag" rev="16136">Cooper Moore</a></dfn>&nbsp;shined as he struck out a career-high nine batters and matched his career high of seven innings. He allowed only two runs on five hits to earn the win.&nbsp;<dfn><a href="https://kuathletics.com/sports/baseball/roster/gavin-brasosky/16121" rel="smarttag" rev="16121">Gavin Brasosky</a></dfn>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<dfn><a href="https://kuathletics.com/sports/baseball/roster/robbie-knowles/16161" rel="smarttag" rev="16161">Robbie Knowles</a></dfn>&nbsp;each pitched a scoreless and hitless inning of relief to close out the game. &nbsp; <dfn><a href="https://kuathletics.com/sports/baseball/roster/ian-francis/16139" rel="smarttag" rev="16139">Ian Francis</a></dfn>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<dfn><a href="https://kuathletics.com/sports/baseball/roster/michael-brooks/16122" rel="smarttag" rev="16122">Michael Brooks</a></dfn>&nbsp;each hit a home run as the offense poured on a double-digit run effort for the second day in a row. Brooks finished with three hits, three RBIs, three runs scored and a walk, while Francis had two hits, two RBIs, two runs scored and a walk. &nbsp; HOW IT HAPPENED &bull; Oklahoma State (12-13, 1-6 Big 12) got out to a first inning lead on a sacrifice fly from Kollin Ritchie to give the Cowboys a 1-0 lead. &bull; Kansas was able to even up the game at 1-1 in the bottom of the third inning on a solo home run from Francis. &bull; The Cowboys were able to take back the lead in the top of the fourth inning on a solo blast by Colin Brueggemann. The homer gave Oklahoma State a 2-1 advantage. &bull; The Jayhawks took back the lead in the bottom of the fourth inning.&nbsp;<dfn><a href="https://kuathletics.com/sports/baseball/roster/dariel-osoria/16146" rel="smarttag" rev="16146">Dariel Osoria</a></dfn>&nbsp;led off the inning with a single and then Brooks belted a two-run homer to left field to give the Jayhawks a 3-2 edge. &bull; KU was able to stretch out its lead with five runs in the fifth inning.
