
Beverly White, 79, formerly of Hutchinson, died Feb. 7, 2021, at her daughter’s home in Texas. She was born Sept. 1941, to Charles R. and Opal O. Culver.
Beverly graduated from Hutchinson High School and Hutchinson Community College. She was a lifelong resident of Hutchinson until 16 months ago when she lived with her daughter and family in Houston, Texas. She was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church, active in the United Methodist Women, and served on various church committees and organizations. In addition, Beverly volunteered at the American Red Cross Blood Mobile, Fair Price Clothing, and Sew ‘N Sews. She was named Reno County’s “Hometown Hero” in 2014. Beverly worked for Dillons, Collingwood Grain, and the Kansas State Fair. Her most cherished job was a stay-at-home mother for many years.
Beverly married Richard (Dick) Caywood in 1962, and they had three children: Richard (Rick), Timothy (Tim), and Julie. In 1981, she married Thornton (Todd) White, who had four adult children: Debbie, Ty, Marsha, and Hoby.
Beverly is survived by: children, Rick (Rondi) Caywood, Tim (Jenny) Caywood, all of Hutchinson, Julie (Wes) Cooper of Tomball, TX, Debbie (Mike) Zarnowski, and Marsha (Jim) Barnes, both of Hutchinson; brother, Robert Culver of Hutchinson; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: Todd, after sharing 39 years of marriage; her parents; a sister, Mary Beth (Friesen) Simpson; and sons, Hoby White and Ty White.
Funeral service will be at Elliott Mortuary, Friday, Feb. 12, 2021, at 2:00 p.m., with the Reverend Mic McGuire officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may call Thursday, Feb. 11, 2021, from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m., with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.
