Mark Leslie Kottwitz, 42, of Hutchinson, died September 8, 2021, at his home. He was born July 30, 1979, in San Jose, California, to Max and Barbara (Bellinghausen) Kottwitz.
Mark graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1997. He enjoyed anime and playing video games, an interest he passed on to his daughter. More than anything, Mark loved to spend time with his family and pets.
On May 7, 2013, he married Julie Ann Parrott, in McPherson. They shared eight years together.
Mark is survived by: wife, Julie Kottwitz, Hutchinson; daughter, Joscelyn Kottwitz, Hutchinson; father, Max Kottwitz, Hutchinson; parents-in-law, Ed and Suzie Parrott, Buhler; sisters-in-law, Amanda Strausberg, Buhler, Laura Bielser (Troy), Buhler; nieces and nephews, Madylynn and Braeden Strausberg, Mason and Carter Jones; ex-wife, Mary Kottwitz, Hutchinson; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by: mother, Barbara Kottwitz; and grandparents, Herbert and Frances Kottwitz.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, September 16, 2021, at Elliott Mortuary. Following the service, family and close friends are invited to Rice Park for lunch. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.
