
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson Community College sophomore Olivia Sandoval has been named a second-team All-American, the NJCAA announced Tuesday.
Sandoval was a pivotal part in helping guide the Blue Dragons to their first-ever appearance in the NJCAA World Series. The sophomore from Newton hit .471 with 70 RBI and six home runs. She was second on the team with 96 total hits this spring.
During her time as a Blue Dragon over two seasons, Sandoval played in 111 games, and holds a .451 career batting average. She finished her career with 129 RBI and eight home runs. Sandoval ends her career with the most doubles ever hit by a HutchCC softball player, 43.
