The Salvation Army of Hutchinson is inviting the community to help support its work across Reno County during its annual fundraising dinner.
The event, "A Summer Night of Hope" is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 22, at 6 p.m. at the Salvation Army Community Center, 700 N. Walnut in Hutchinson.
The evening will include a catered dinner, live music and an auction, with proceeds supporting Salvation Army programs that assist individuals and families in need throughout Reno County.

The annual dinner is the Hutchinson Salvation Army's largest fundraising event of the year.
The Salvation Army said support from local businesses and organizations also plays an important role in the fundraiser, particularly through donations for the auction.
Money raised during "A Summer Night of Hope" helps the Salvation Army continue providing assistance to Reno County residents throughout the year.
Tickets will be available at the door. Those interested in purchasing tickets in advance, supporting the fundraiser or contributing to the auction can contact Major DJ James at the Salvation Army at 620-663-3353.
