Freddie "Fred" P. Like |1941-2021|

Freddie Paul “Fred” Like, 80, passed away early Thursday morning, October 14, 2021, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He passed peacefully, surrounded by his wife and four children, who surrendered Fred into the hands of Jesus while singing “Amazing Grace” and telling him how much his family loved him.

Fred was born January 26, 1941, in Clayton, NM, to Joel and Beulah (Jackson) Like, and committed to follow Christ in his early twenties at First Baptist Church, Kim, CO. He was preceded in death by: his parents; brothers, Wesley and Henry Like; son-in-law, Mike Klassen; and great-grandson, Amos Schweizer.

Fred is survived by: his wife of 59 years, Nora; their four children, Larry Like, LaDawna Smith, Laraine Roberts, and Cody Like; two sisters, Juanita McClure and Judy Like; 17 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Memorial service will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 23, 2021, at Sterling Evangelical Bible Church, 3017 N. Sterling Road, Sterling, KS.  The family will greet friends following his service.  Friends may sign his book from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at Elliott Mortuary. Private family inurnment will be held prior to Fred’s service in Peace Valley Cemetery, Sterling.
