GEARY COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating two suspect for alleged drug distribution in Geary County.
On Saturday, police executed a search warrant at the Hi Poynt Studios apartments at 1106 Grant Avenue in Junction City, according to a media release. The warrant and arrests were the result of an investigation into the alleged distribution of marijuana from Hi Poynt Studios over the past few months.
Police arrested Darrin Battiste, 19, and Madison Verdoorn, 24,
Verdoorn was booked on a requested charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance, while Battiste was arrested on requested charges of Possession of Marijuana with the intent to distribute, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and No Drug Tax Stamp.
This was a joint investigation conducted by the Junction City / Geary County Drug Operations Group, according to the release.
