Lois Irene Kennedy |1927-2022|

Lois Irene Kennedy, 94, passed away January 4, 2022 in Pratt. She was born March 13, 1927 in Pawnee Rock, to Jesse William Deckert and Faye Lillian (Kerns) Deckert. Lois married A. Merle Kennedy July 25, 1945 in Larned. They were married 69 years.

Lois graduated Lewis High School. She was a homemaker. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Pratt and the Glendale Mothers Club. She enjoyed working in her flower garden.
She liked to sew and do needlework. She enjoyed following her grand and great grandchildren's activities She loved spending time at their cabin in Elm Mills.

She is survived by son, Steve (Paulette) Kennedy Madison, MS, daughters, Rhonda (Ron) Richardson of Wichita, Brenda (Don) Pilger of Wichita, Nancy (Jay) Bailey of Pratt, and Julie (Ron) Volske of Salina; sister, Shirley Brollier of Kinsley. There are 14 grandchildren 22 great grandchildren and 8 great great grand children.

Lois is preceded in death by her parents and husband A. Merle Kennedy; sister, Glenna Mae Johnson; brother, Leon Deckert.

Visitation will be Friday 9:00 am to 8:00 pm with family receiving friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Larrison Mortuary 300 Country Club Road, Pratt.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Larrison Mortuary, Pratt with Pastor Jan Blasi and Pastor Derek Birney Officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt.
