Saturday is Wichita State University Day at the Kansas State Fair, bringing a full schedule of events and entertainment for fairgoers.

The morning begins at 8 a.m. with the 4-H Horse Show at the Expo Center, Expo II, and the Roy Coffey Antique Farm Machinery Show in the Administration Building parking lot.

Food lovers will want to stop by the Domestic Arts Building at 11 a.m. for two competitions — the Best Jerky Contest and Curley’s All Natural BBQ Sauce Contest.

At noon, the Kansas Highway Patrol will showcase its K-9 Demonstration on the Lowen Corporation Stage at Lake Talbott.

Evening entertainment includes two major performances at 7:30 p.m. The 35th Infantry Division Band of the Kansas Army National Guard will perform at the People’s Bank and Trust Arena, while The Fray, joined by the Plain White T’s, will headline the Nex-Tech Grandstand.
