HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A section of 11th Street in Hutchinson has reopened to traffic after emergency repairs were completed following a storm pipe failure that caused a washout beneath the roadway.
The closure had impacted both eastbound and westbound traffic between K-61 and Lorraine Street. City officials said the failure created unsafe driving conditions, prompting crews to shut down the roadway while damage was assessed and repairs were made.
City crews have now completed the necessary work and reopened the intersection, restoring normal traffic flow.
