City of Burrton
The City of Burrton has been informed by KMGA of the need to reduce natural gas usage due to the current weather conditions leading to an underperformance in gas supply. As a result, we kindly request that each customer conserves gas wherever possible.
Our natural gas supplier may experience a loss of gas due to freezing gas fields, which could result in some residents being unable to heat their homes. Additionally, this situation may cause an increase in gas rates.
Please be assured that the City of Burrton is working diligently to stay informed and to keep our citizens updated. If natural gas customers temporarily lose their gas services, a warming shelter will be made available. For the most current information, please check the city website or call the City of Burrton at 620-463-4545.
We also encourage you to check on your neighbors, call 911 for emergency assistance, and prepare for any worst-case scenarios.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding during this challenging time.
