HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Monarchs won a pair of games Thursday night at Hobart-Detter Field, including Deron McCue's 300th win in the nightcap.
Hutchinson won game one 8-2 behind a complete game from Zak Gould and then walked it off in game two with a wild pitch bringing Cade Clemons home in the bottom of the ninth for a 2-1 win.
The Monarchs are now 11-3 and go on the road to face Derby Friday night for a 7 p.m. first pitch.
