
Anna J. Cole, 93, of Hutchinson, died July 15, 2020, at her residence. She was born January 1, 1927, in Arthur, IL, to Joseph and Katie (Beachy) Helmuth.
Anna had many jobs over the years, including a daycare, dry cleaners, school aide, and caring for the elderly. She loved bowling, Bingo, and especially traveling. Anna was a member of Journey Mennonite Church, South Hutchinson.
She married James Cole, in Hutchinson. He passed away April 14, 2007.
Anna is survived by: daughter, Cynthia Cole, Wichita; grandchildren, Elly Mills (Christopher), Hutchinson, Phyllis Drake, Serenity Shelby, Desirea Shelby, Junior Shelby, Amare Shelby, Jace Shelby, all of Wichita, Scott Cole, Missouri; brother, Johnny Helmuth, Indiana; five great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, James Cole; sons, Randy and Roger Cole; three sisters; and two brothers.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 18, 2020, at Journey Mennonite Church, Yoder Campus, with Pastor Howard Wagler officiating. The church is located at the corner of Longview and Yoder Roads, one mile north of Yoder. Burial will follow in the Yoder Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, July 17, 2020, at Elliott Mortuary.
