Betty Marie Hill |1926-2021|

Betty Marie Hill, 95, of McPherson, passed away at 12:07 p.m., Saturday, August 28th, 2021 while in the company of her son at McPherson Health And Rehab.

Betty was born in McPherson on June 21, 1926, George Joseph and Elna Laurine (Lindstrom) Saylor.

Betty attended Roosevelt grade school and graduated from McPherson High School, McPherson, Kansas in 1944. She then attended Trinity Hospital Nurse's Training in Kansas City.

Betty was a Registered Nurse for McPherson Memorial Hospital for 46 years.

Betty was a member of American Legion Auxiliary
Betty enjoyed fishing, gardening, playing cards, bingo, sewing and spending time with her friends and family.

Betty Marie Saylor was united in marriage to Fred LaVerne Hill in McPherson. This union was blessed with the birth of four children, Judy, Joanne, Jeannie and Jon..

She is survived by her children, Joanne Foster, of McKinney, Texas, Jeannie Greischar, of Spring Hill, Kansas and Jon Hill and his wife Dawn, of Alva, Oklahoma. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren, Matt Godwin, Mike Godwin, Cody Foster, Wyatt Foster, Kylie Greischar Uvodich, Dustin Greischar, Clayton Hill and Colby Hill; her three great grandchildren, Peyton Turner, Kenzee Godwin and Jace Godwin.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Donv Saylor; her sister Arlonne Mead and a daughter Judy Godwin

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Glidden - Ediger Chapel, McPherson.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, McPherson, Kansas with Pastor John Barkett officiating.

Burial will be at the McPherson Cemetery McPherson.
