Florida man caught with 10 pounds of pot, guns during Kan. traffic stop

CHASE COUNTY— Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect on drug allegations after a traffic stop.

On Feb. 22, deputies stopped a vehicle for speeding on Highway 50, just east of Saffordville, nine miles east of Strong City, according to a media release. The investigation led to a search.

Inside the vehicle deputies found 10 pounds of marijuana, materials for growing marijuana, chemicals used to process marijuana for oil, and two firearms.

Deputies arrested a 47-year-old Seth Kindt Florida man on requested charges of possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession with intent to manufacture/cultivate marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, criminal use of weapons, and no Kansas Drug Tax stamp.

His passenger, 75-year-old Duff Kindt from Ohio was also arrested on requested charges of possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession with intent to manufacture/cultivate marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and no Kansas drug tax stamp.
