WICHITA, Kan. – Wichita State head men's basketball coach Paul Mills announced today that redshirt freshman Pierre Couisnard will miss the entire 2026-27 season after undergoing microfracture knee surgery in late-August.

"It is disappointing to Pierre and our team that he won't be able to compete for the Shockers this season," Mills said. "His progress on the court during his redshirt season was impressive and he was extremely motivated to add value as a returner. He will remain with the team as we support him through the rehabilitation of his knee. Our team is looking forward to getting him back on the court and practicing again when he has been cleared."

A native of Houston, Texas, Couisnard has not appeared in a game as a Shocker after redshirting the 2025-26 season. Couisnard will remain with the team and continue rehabbing daily to be ready for the start of the 2027-28 season.
