HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A garage fire kept Hutchinson fire crews busy Wednesday.
According to a release from the Hutchinson Fire Department, crews were called to 423 East 15th at 5:21 p.m. Wednesday.
The person who reported the fire said flames and smoke were coming from the detached garage. The fire was quickly knocked down, but in order to get the water to the fire, a block of Plum Street was closed for about an hour to allow fire crews to operate in the roadway.
The fire is still under investigation.
