HAVEN, Kan. —Wrestling will be coming back to Haven High School next year. After several months of discussion, the Haven School Board agreed to restart the wrestling program at the high school level.
The district had been going over the logistics of restarting wrestling after several parents asked the board to consider it.
Also Monday night, the Board approved a one year extension to Superintendent Clark Wedel's contract which now runs through 2023, and Bryce Matteson was reappointed Board President and Bill Royer was once again named Vice President.
The district will also extend its COVID related sick leave to the end of the school year.
Finally, the board approved going into interviews with three possible contractors to provide construction management at risk services for the high school auditorium renovation project. Those interviews will take place at the board's February meeting.
