WICHITA, Kan. – Wichita State athletics, in partnership with the Kansas Humane Society and Beauties & Beasts, will host "Bark in the Park" at the Shocker baseball game against Memphis Saturday, April 29, at 2:00 pm at Eck Stadium, Home of Tyler Field. Gates for the contest will open at 12:30 pm.
The Shocker Athletic Department will provide waste dispensers to the first 100 fans with a dog while Beauties and Beasts will be on-site providing pup cups and information about adoption.
To ensure everyone has a fun and safe experience at the "Bark in the Park" event, please read and follow this important information:
- Dogs will be allowed to check-in and play in the left field area.
- Owners with dogs will have to buy a ticket at one of the ticket booths then proceed to the gate behind the batter's eye in centerfield for admission. They CANNOT enter through any other gate.
- All dogs must be kept on a fixed length leash (no longer than 8 ft.) at ALL TIMES. No retractable leashes, no dogs off leash. Owners are responsible for their own messes.
- Dog owner assumes responsibility for the action of their dog for the duration of the Bark in the Park event.
All participants are required to execute a Release and Waiver. Wichita State reserves the right to reject any dog for any reason. For the waiver form, please click here.
