Robert ‘Bob’ Nathan Kitch, 79, passed away Feb. 12, 2021, at Hutchinson Health and Rehab. He was born Dec. 7, 1941, in Hutchinson, to John Nathan and Volna L. (Reed) Kitch.

Bob was a 1960 graduate of Buhler High School. He was a machinist for Cessna Fluid Power and Mega Manufacturing. Bob was the owner/operator of Bob’s Tire Service, Hutchinson and the caretaker for Eaton Campground, retiring in 2016. He was a member of the Mid States Street Rods, Hutchinson.

On June 30, 1978, he married Velva Jean Chapman, in Newkirk, OK. They shared over 30 years of marriage prior to her death on Feb. 13, 2009.

Bob is survived by his daughters, Susan (Mark) Mattison, and Julie Kitston, both of Hutchinson; step-children, Kim Kienzle, Kevin (Susan) Kienzle, Keith (Sherri) Kienzle, Brent (Jacque) Cully, Brian (Sandy) Cully, all of Hutchinson; step-daughter-in-law, Annette Cully of Hutchinson; sisters, Mae Kerr of Virginia Beach, VA, and Shirley O’Toole of Weed, CA; 15 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Glenna Mitchell; siblings, Margret Huiett, Alice Zachar, June Van Buskirk, and Wayne Kitch; and step-son, Brad Cully.

Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, 2021, at Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson, with Pastor Tim Kraft officiating. Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2021, and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2021, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at Elliott Mortuary.
