Police: Suspect caught burglarizing Kan. auto dealership

SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a burglary and have made an arrest.

Just before  4a.m. Thursday, police responded to Ed Bozarth auto dealership, 3731 SW Topeka Blvd. in Topeka after receiving a report of someone burglarizing multiple vehicles on the property, according to police department spokesperson Gretchen Spiker.

Responding officers located a man walking in the parking lot matching the description of the suspect later identified as 39-year-old David A. Thomas. A police K-9 apprehended  Thomas and he was arrested and booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on requested charges of Burglary, Theft < $1,500 Motor Vehicle  and interference with law enforcement.
