HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Country music icon Eddie Montgomery fulfills his promise to late friend and music partner Troy Gentry by continuing their legacy of big-energy performances at the Kansas State Fair, Tuesday, Sept. 13.

Rocketing to stardom in 1999, Montgomery Gentry accumulated 20-plus charted singles and collected CMA, ACM and Grammy nominations and awards with blue-collar rallying cries such as “Hell Yeah,” “My Town” and “Hillbilly Shoes.” And this isn’t Eddie Montgomery’s first time at the Kansas State Fair: the duo performed here in 2009.

“By continuing the Montgomery Gentry legacy, Eddie Montgomery proves that the music lives on,” Bryan Schulz, Kansas State Fair General Manager said.  “The dedication these artists have to their craft and to their fans is phenomenal. We’re honored to host him again at the Kansas State Fair and are looking forward to an exciting show!”
