Salt City Splash
Salt City Splash is set to open Memorial Day weekend, with the first day of the 2025 season on Saturday, May 24. The Splash will also be open on Memorial Day Monday, May 26, but moving forward, will be closed on Mondays throughout the summer.
Summer 2025 public swim hours include (weather-permitting):
- Saturday, May 24: Open 12:30-6:30 p.m.
- Sunday, May 25: Open 12:30-6:30 p.m.
- Memorial Day Monday, May 26: Open 12:30-6:30 p.m.
- Tuesdays through Sundays: Open 12:30-6:30 p.m.
- Mondays (starting June 2): CLOSED for public swim session
Season passes are on sale now and can be purchased online. Swim lesson registration is also open online, with three sessions available throughout June and July.
New this year is Long Course fitness swimming offered on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings from 7-9 a.m. in June and July. Participants can choose to register for the monthly sessions or drop-in and pay a higher fee.
Making a return in 2025 is the Toddler/Boomer Time on Saturday mornings from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Families with children 7 and younger, as well as adults 60 and older, are invited to this exclusive time before the Splash opens to the public on Saturdays. They may stay when the Splash opens to the public at 12:30 p.m. Participants may pay regular admission fees or use their season passes. Toddler/Boomer Time will start June 7 and run on Saturdays through July 26.

Salt City Splash is located at 1601 S. Plum in Carey Park. The Splash is owned and maintained by the City of Hutchinson, with Hutch Rec overseeing the operations, programs, and staffing of the facility during the summer months. Hutch Rec hires more than 50 employees to operate the Splash, including facility managers and assistant managers, lifeguards, slide attendants, swim lesson instructors, admissions and concessions attendants, and custodians.
