
The Kansas State Fair has released an updated parking and shuttle plan for Friday, Sept. 12, as the Fair continues through the weekend.
Parking Lots
• Lots A & B on State Fair Road will reopen at 10 a.m. Friday.
• Lot C on Plum Street will remain closed, except for handicapped parking, Media/VIP access, and Will Call services.
Shuttle Service
Shuttles will begin running at 7:30 a.m. Friday from three locations:
• Stringer Fine Arts Center & Hutchinson Sports Arena (700 E. 11th Street – west side only)
• Bold 3PL east parking lot (1529 E. 17th Avenue)
• Hutchinson Uptown Mall (southwest corner, near Hutchinson Vintage Market.
The last buses will leave the Fairgrounds at 11:30 p.m. Shuttles run about every 15 minutes and drop off and pick up passengers at Gate 9 on Plum Street. Officials caution that wait times may be longer due to extended routes, and encourage visitors to plan ahead.
Handicapped Parking Accessible parking will be available near Gate 5 (State Fair Road) and Gate 9 (Plum Street). Vehicles must display a valid handicapped placard.
Additional Information
• Will Call remains open at Lot C on Plum Street.
• Livestock exhibitors may continue using Purple & Tan Lot permits.
• Family and group drop-offs should use Gate 1, with drivers proceeding to alternate parking.
• Dry Camping lots remain available for those with reservations; campers should check in with their Camp Post upon arrival.
