HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Monarchs won the final 3 games of their series with Great Bend, including a Wednesday night 7-3 triumph sparked by a Sawyre Thornhill grand slam. Nixon Brannan also had a two-run shot in the win.
Nate Adler got the win on the mound with five innings of work, giving up three runs on seven hits. The bullpen kept the door shut with Michael Mulhollon and Braden Davis combining for the final four innings of scoreless work.
The Monarchs, now 15-5, play Haysville on the road Thursday night at 7 p.m.
