Lucille C. “Lupe” Agoitia, 90, died February 20, 2022, at Good Samaritan Society – Hutchinson Village. She was born September 8, 1931, in Hutchinson, to Marcelino A. and Guadalupe (Raya) Piña.
Lupe grew up in Hutchinson and was primarily a homemaker. She was an avid reader and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, where she served on the Altar Society. Lupe was also a member of GI Forum Auxiliary.
She is survived by: daughter, Carolyn Colvin (A.R.) of Hutchinson; son, Eric Agoitia (Veronica) of Wichita; grandchildren, Ryan Colvin, Samuel Agoitia, Courteney Kelsey (Jerry), Michael Colvin, Marcus Agoitia, Sophia Agoitia, Isaiah Agoitia, Leonardo Agoitia, Sebastian Agoitia; great-grandchildren, Oso Agoitia, Nox Kelsey; sister, Elisa Rodriguez (Anastacio) of Hutchinson; brother, Eddie Piña (Lori) of Rapid City, SD; and many nieces and nephews.
Lupe was preceded in death by: her parents, Marcelino and Mama Lupe Piña; son, Dennis Agoitia; sisters, Carolina Piña, Lucy Castro, Helen Ramos, Elenora Piña; brothers, Alberto, Valentino, Eliseo, and Bobby Piña; and former husband, Albert Agoitia.
Parish Rosary will be 10 a.m., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2022, both at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 612 S. Maple, South Hutchinson. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park.
Friends may call from 1-8 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., with family present to receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary.
