⛳ Casebolt earns co-medalist honors, leads Trinity Catholic to 2nd at Sacred Heart Invite

SALINA, Kan. — Tyler Casebolt and Miles Blaylock led Hutchinson Trinity Catholic to a second-place finish Tuesday at the Sacred Heart High Invitational at Salina Municipal Golf Course.

Trinity Catholic shot a 326 to finish behind tournament champion Salina Sacred Heart, which posted a 312. Hill City was third at 340.

Casebolt tied for medalist honors after carding a 5-over-par 75, matching Sacred Heart’s Will Tuttle for the top individual score in the field. Casebolt opened with a 38 on the front nine and closed with a 37.

Blaylock also turned in a strong round for the Celtics, finishing in a tie for fourth with a 77 after rounds of 39 and 38. The pair gave Trinity Catholic two of the top five finishers in the tournament.

Ian Shaw and Matt Armour rounded out Trinity Catholic’s scoring four, each shooting 87. Shaw carded a 45 on the front and a 42 on the back, while Armour followed a 46 with a 41. Seamus Hogan and Augustine Bell each added rounds of 93.

Sacred Heart placed four golfers in the top eight to secure the team title. Tuttle shared medalist honors at 75, Jake Koksal tied for fourth at 77, Ethan Newell was sixth at 79 and Dominic Matteucci tied for eighth at 81.
