Hutchinson Public Schools are reminding families that all schools will dismiss one hour early on Friday, September 26, for Homecoming activities. Early release applies to USD 308 schools as well as Durham, Boys & Girls Club, Trinity, and Hadley bus routes.
Parents and community members attending the parade or football game should be aware of parking changes. The Cosmosphere parking lots will not be available for public parking on Friday.

The Homecoming Parade begins at 3:30 p.m. at 14th and Plum, traveling south on Plum and east along 11th Street to Hutchinson Community College’s Stringer Fine Arts Center. The parade will stay on the north side of 11th Street.
Festivities continue at Gowans Stadium with a full evening of recognition and celebration ahead of kickoff:
• 6:20 p.m. – Pregame show begins
• 6:25 p.m. – Recognition of Davis Foundation Teachers of the Year, Kansas Teacher of the Year nominees, Horizon nominee, Certified Employee of the Year, and Classified Employee of the Year
• 6:30 p.m. – Wall of Honor recognition
• 6:41 p.m. – Crowning of the Homecoming King
• 6:50 p.m. – National Anthem performed by the HHS Expressives
• 7:00 p.m. – Kickoff: Hutchinson Salthawks vs. Salina South

Halftime entertainment will feature the Salthawk Marching Band, HHS Dance Team, the crowning of the Homecoming Queen, and a Punt/Pass/Kick contest sponsored by Allen Samuels.
