Neil Allen Hale, 65, of Haven passed away on Monday, August 17, 2020 in at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 20, 1955 in Hutchinson, the son of Nathan and Wanda Hale.

Throughout his life, he worked at Mid-America Redi-mix, Haven Steel, Cessna and Alcoa. He was an avid deer hunter, always in search of the big one. Allen loved watching KU basketball and was a loud and proud Raiders fan. He played softball his whole life even when his knees begged him not to. He never lost at trivia games and wished the same would have held true for the slot machines he played. He is best known for saying “do like I say, not like I do!”

Allen is survived by his daughters, Amy Hale of Indiana, Katie (Josh) Felix of Hutchinson and Crystal (Tyson) Kohls of Buhler; four grandchildren, Vanessa, Gavin, Kya and Tucker; sisters, Sue Rettig and Nancy Schroeder of Haven. He had a blast being “Uncle Al” to numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law, Wayne Rettig and niece, Shawna Rettig.

Cremation has taken place. He will be buried with his faithful sidekick Booker T. Hale. Due to Covid-19 precautions, his service at Laurel Cemetery will be private.
