PLEASANTVIEW — The benefit auction to help Pleasantview resident Shirley Ropp was a major success last week. The event raised $73,205.
Ropp was in the hospital for 12 weeks with COVID-19 and pneumonia.
All Pleasantview area churches and auctioneer Paul Nisly came together to put on the event.
Between that auction and the SHARE Haiti auction earlier this year, local residents have given over $200,000 to help others so far in 2022.
