Lois Jean Grauman Reimer was born April 26, 1933 in a farmhouse near Harvey, North Dakota. Lois graduated from Harvey High School in 1951 and began attending Tabor College in Hillsboro, the following Fall. At Tabor, she met Roland Reimer.
Roland and Lois were married at the Harvey North Dakota Mennonite Brethren Church August 22, 1953. Lois was a devoted wife to her husband in his role as a minister in churches in Topeka; Denver, Colorado; and Wichita.
Lois supported Roland as he completed college in Hillsboro, graduate studies in Fresno California and doctoral studies in Pasadena California. Throughout her professional life, Lois was employed and worked administratively in Medical Records, as a Secretary/Receptionist, and as a Human Resource assistant.
Lois was the mother of two children, and grandmother of five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Emma (Seibel) Grauman, one sister, two brothers, three half brothers, and husband, Roland.
Lois is survived by her daughter, Karen Reimer of Overland Park; her son and daughter-in-law, David and Sandra Reimer of Visalia California; granddaughters, Elizabeth (Ryan) Parks, Rebekah (Brad) Kingsley; grandsons, Michael (D’Ann), Daniel (Tom) and David J Reimer. In addition, great grandchildren, Brandon, Collin, and Logan Parks, William and Anna Grace Kingsley, and Aaron Reimer; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Lois passed away at Schowalter Villa February 23, 2022 following a brief illness. A graveside service is planned for 2 p.m., Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Buhler Municipal Cemetery. A memorial gathering is being planned. Details are pending.
