The No. 13-ranked nationally ranked and No. 3-seed Blue Dragons (25-5) will play host to the sixth-seeded Trojans (16-15) in the Region 6 Tournament quarterfinals at 6 p.m. on Tuesday at the Hutchinson Sports Arena.

The game will be streamed for free on the Blue Dragon Sports Network beginning at 5:45 p.m.

The Blue Dragons open the 2026 postseason riding a 10-game winning streak after defeating Fort Hays Tech Northwest 76-50 last Wednesday. This is the 20th win streak of 10 or more games in the John Ontjes era.

Against Fort Hays Tech Northwest, both Noelle Anthon and Jaden Wilson had double-doubles to lead Hutchinson. Anthon had 16 points and 10 rebounds and Wilson posted her first career double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

The Blue Dragons make their 49th overall appearance in the Region 6 Tournament and 2026 is the seventh-straight season Hutchinson has received an opening-round bye. The Blue Dragons are 70-39 all-time in the Region 6 Tournament, going 22-17 in the quarterfinal round.

Under Ontjes, the Blue Dragons are 42-10 in the Region 6 Tournament. Hutchinson has won eight of its nine overall Region 6 championships under Ontjes, the last coming in the national championship season of 2024.

Hutchinson is 5-0 all-time against Colby in postseason play. Last season in the quarterfinal round of the Region 6 Tournament, the Blue Dragons defeated the Trojans 59-49. Hailey Jackson had 17 points to lead the Blue Dragons.

The Blue Dragons swept the 2026 season series with Colby this season. The Dragons won 64-55 on January 3 at Colby and 50-42 on Feb. 18 at the Sports Arena. Hutchinson's defense held Colby to an average of 48.5 points and 36.1 percent shooting on both games.

The Hutchinson-Colby winner advances to Friday's semifinals Fleske Fieldhouse in Great Bend to play the Dodge City-Barton winner.
