HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Residents will have another opportunity to shop for fresh, locally produced goods as the Hutchinson Farmers Market launches its Wednesday market season this week.

The first Wednesday market of the season will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the market's downtown location, 103 W. Second Ave.

Organizers are encouraging shoppers to stop by before work, during lunch breaks or throughout the morning to browse a variety of locally grown and homemade products. Vendors are expected to offer fresh produce, baked goods, flowers and other locally crafted items.

The Wednesday market provides an additional shopping option beyond the market's regular schedule, giving residents greater access to seasonal fruits and vegetables, homemade breads, cookies, pies and other products from area growers and producers.

The Hutchinson Farmers Market is located in downtown Hutchinson at 103 W. Second Ave. and will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday.
