Dona Rimbey, 94, died August 31, 2020 at Stormont Vail in Topeka. She was born in Rigby, Idaho on April 18, 1926 to Eather and Eva (Thomas) Anderson.
She married Clarence Rimbey on October 26, 1944 and was a farmer’s wife for 50 years before he died in 1995. Dona was a Burrton resident for 38 years before moving to Manhattan, living previously at Council Grove for 16 years and Eskridge for five years. She worked as a nurse’s aide for more than ten years at Halstead Hospital before retiring.
Survivors include her son, Gary and wife Chris of Burrton; daughters, Joyce McDiffett of Manhattan, and Sharron Perkins and husband Mark of Topeka; brother, Dwain Anderson of Idaho Falls, Idaho; eleven grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Dona was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers; one sister; a grandson; and son-in-law.
Visitation will be held from 10:30-11:30 a.m., Friday, September 4, 2020 at Ott Funeral Home with graveside services following at 1 p.m. at Valley Township Cemetery, Haven, Kansas with Rev.
