One person is dead after a two-vehicle accident northwest of North Newton this morning.&nbsp;Emergency responders were dispatched to North Hesston Road and Northwest 36th Street at&nbsp;7:08 a.m.&nbsp;

Peter Hartman, 90, of Hesston, was driving a passenger vehicle that collided with a semi-trailer.&nbsp;Hartman was transported in critical condition to a Wichita hospital. He later died of his injuries.&nbsp;The preliminary investigation indicates Hartman was driving southeast on Hesston Road when&nbsp;his vehicle collided with the semi as the semi was attempting to make a right-hand turn from&nbsp;Hesston Road onto 36th Street.&nbsp;There were no passengers in either vehicle.&nbsp;The accident remains under investigation.
