HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Gardeners and plant enthusiasts will have an opportunity to stock up for the growing season during the annual plant sale hosted by Hutchinson Community College.
The event will take place at the Pioneer Building on the college’s South Campus, located at 1809 E. Essex Road in Hutchinson. The three-day sale is scheduled for:
- Thursday, April 16 from 5 to 8 p.m.
- Friday, April 17 from noon to 5 p.m.
- Saturday, April 18 from 8 a.m. to noon
Organizers say a wide variety of plants will be available, including flowers, vegetables, herbs, and succulents, along with hanging baskets and larger arrangements. Pricing remains unchanged from last year, with 6-pack flowers available for $5 and single pots priced at $3.50. Larger items such as floral baskets, hanging baskets, and large succulents will be sold for $25, while single succulents are $5 and small succulent baskets are $20.
The sale serves as a seasonal tradition for the college and offers community members an affordable way to prepare their gardens for spring. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early for the best selection.
