BOX SCORE

COLBY, Kan. β€” The Hutchinson Community College men’s basketball team ended its brief two-game skid with a 65-63 win inside the Colby Event Center on Wednesday.

The Blue Dragons are now 14-7 overall, 10-5 in the Jayhawk Conference. Hutchinson also completes the regular season sweep of Colby.

The game saw several ties and lead changes, with neither team able to have larger than a five-point lead throughout the night.

D.J. Dudley hit the go-ahead 3-pointer to put the Blue Dragons in front 65-63 with 33 seconds to play. He finished with 13 points. Dudley knocked down the game winning three-point play in the Sports Arena to down Colby back in November.

After the shot by Dudley, the Blue Dragon defense forced a shot clock violation with just over three seconds to play. Colby had only committed four team fouls, which came back to hurt them in the final seconds.

Mikhail Abdul-Hamid finished with 20 points to lead the Blue Dragons, knocking down five 3-pointers. Isaiah Jackson was the only other Blue Dragons in double figures with 10.

Colby was led by Eternity Eguagie with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
