HUTCHINSON, Kan. β€” Hutchinson Community College sophomore running back Waymond Jordan Jr. touched the ball only nine times Saturday and scored a career-high four touchdowns to lead the No. 1 Blue Dragons to a 99-0 win over Ellsworth on Saturday.

Jordan was named the KJCCC Football Offensive Player of the Week this season on Tuesday. This is Jordan’s third time earning KJCCC Offensive Player of the Week honors this season, also winning after games against New Mexico Military in Game 1 and Iowa Western in Game 2.

Blue Dragon players have won KJCCC Offensive Player of the Week honors in 4 of the first 5 weeks of the season. Quarterback Samari Collier was the Week 3 winner.

On Saturday at Gowans Stadium, the sophomore from Pensacola, Florida had nine carries for 175 yards and touchdown runs of 18, 53, 34 and 25 yards. He averaged 19.4 yards per carry for his third 100-yard rushing game of the season. Jordan became the first Blue Dragon with four rushing touchdowns since Tyrell Reed Jr. in 2023 against Dodge City.

So far through four games, Jordan has 572 yards and eight touchdowns.
