

George John Ojeda, 81, of Hutchinson, died December 8, 2020, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born December 24, 1938, in Hutchinson, to John and Elizabeth (Caudillo) Ojeda.
George was a graduate of Hutchinson High School and served for a year in the United States Army. He worked for Leech Products and Furrs Cafeteria. George loved cooking and good food leading to an enviable collection of cookbooks and recipes. In his younger days he loved dancing and attending dances in Hutchinson and surrounding communities. George always had a new Monte Carlo. He also enjoyed old movies and television shows. George was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church, Hutchinson.
He is survived by sister, Rosemary Ojeda, Hutchinson; brother, Richard Ojeda, Hutchinson; brother, Joseph ‘Tony’ Ojeda (Linda), Hutchinson; nephew, Schon Ojeda (Laura), Spring Hill; nephew, Chris Ojeda (Vicki), Olathe; niece, Raquel Tyrell (Corey), Wichita; nephew, Joe Mackey, Los Angeles, CA.
George was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Johnny Ojeda; sister, Juanita Ojeda; and many aunts and uncles.
Parish Rosary will be 10 a.m. and Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 11, 2020, at Our St. Teresa Catholic Church, Hutchinson, with Father Mike Maybrier officiating. Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. in Fairlawn Burial Park. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary.
