Today's "Throwback Thursday Collection" takes us on a little different angle from our normal weekly column on properties.
Marion W. Bailey was a very talented commercial photographer in Hutchinson between 1905 and 1915. Many of our previous columns featured real photo postcards that he produced during this time.
What we have never shown are some of his whimsical "Exaggeration" real photo post cards that he produced. Remember, this is way before Photoshop ever existed. During this time frame era, this quality of photography was hard to accomplish. The first photo is a self-portrait of Marion.

The second photo is titled "Corn Is King."

The third photo is titled "Rare Sport In The West."

The fourth photo is titled "The Kansas Hen."

The fifth photo is titled "A Kansas Air Ship."

The sixth photo is titled "On The Farm."

The seventh photo is titled "A Nebraska Porker."

Unfortunately, Bailey gave up this occupation in 1920 for a more lucrative truck driving job. Enjoy these fantastic images he created! He died at the age of 74 in 1944 and was buried in the Little River Cemetery.
