Oliver E. “Ollie” Troyer |1935-2021|

Oliver E. “Ollie” Troyer, 86, died October 6, 2021, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born May 16, 1935, in Plain City, OH, to Eli N. and Barbara (Borntrager) Troyer. 

Ollie was a dairy farmer for 40 years.  He enjoyed welding, working on anything electrical, and genealogy.  Ollie loved to visit with people, even strangers, and teasing his grandchildren.

On August 16, 1959, he married Emma Miller, in Hutchinson.  They shared over 62 years of marriage.

Ollie is survived by:  his wife, Emma of Partridge; children, Joyce Buckels (Matt) of Vincennes IN, Leland Troyer (Mary) of Kennedyville, MD, Karen Miller (Dwight) of Partridge, Marjorie Miller (Sam) of Haven, Wesley Troyer (Stacy) of Kennedyville, MD, and Darrell Troyer (Teresa) of Washington, IN; four brothers; five sisters; 22 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by:  his parents; son, Lavern Jay; and two brothers.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 10, 2021, at Center Amish Mennonite Church, 7611 W. Morgan Avenue, Hutchinson.  Burial will follow in West Center Cemetery.  Friends may call from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, October 9, 2021, at the church.
