Downtown Hutchinson will once again come alive with food, music and art as Hutch Rec hosts July's Third Thursday celebration this week.
The monthly Arts & Eats event will be held Thursday, July 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. throughout downtown Hutchinson. The free event will feature food trucks, local artists, live entertainment and family-friendly activities.
One of the evening's featured attractions will be the continued painting of decorative pillars at DCI Park at Second and Main. A local artist will be completing work on the public art project while visitors watch.
Live music will also be part of the evening. Jackie Myers will perform a free concert from approximately 7 to 8 p.m. at the Avenue A gazebo, giving visitors another opportunity to enjoy local entertainment while exploring downtown.
Hutch Rec's Amy Conkling encourages residents to visit the Third Thursday social media pages on Facebook and Instagram for additional information about performers and activities scheduled throughout the evening.
Third Thursday is presented as a free community celebration designed to showcase downtown Hutchinson through art, live music and local food vendors.
