Chad Mielke was born on Dec. 3, 1980 and passed away in his apartment on Feb. 22, 2021. He was 40 years old.
Chad was survived by his parents, Steven and Marsha Mielke, who are retired and live in St. George, Utah. He was also survived by his older brother, Eric Mielke, who works for WelchAllyn from his home in Phoenix, Arizona. Preceding Chad were his twin brother, Brett, who passed several hours after birth and his grandparents, Joseph and Joetta Mielke and Floyd and Alvina Rayl.
Chad was born in Hutchinson and he could not wait to be part of our family as he was premature two months and only weighed three pounds. He graduated from Nickerson High School and he worked for Kroger Company, Dillon Division, 4th and Pershing, in Hutchinson for over 20 years.
Chad was a simple person. He was soft spoken, thoughtful, kind, and respectful of others. He would go out of his way to help people. Chad was an easy going person and did not follow the crowd. Chad was not the type to venture out from Hutchinson and he would prefer to stay home rather than go on vacation with the family. Chad enjoyed his off time from work visiting Grandparents, going to church, staying home, and playing video games.
Even though our family did not attend church on Sundays, we taught our boys the respect for others and to be good citizens. Chad took it upon himself and was encouraged to attend a church of his choice. Chad found fellowship at Medora Community Bible Church. He was proud to attend church and shared with us the fellowship he was receiving and the activities that he participated in at church.
Even though Chad is gone in body, Chad will always be here because he will reside in our thoughts, in the memories of our time he was with us, and in our hearts. Chad brought us laughter, joy, and the desire to be a like him, with a helping hand.
